00:00 – Why Wickenburg Landscape Practices What They Preach
00:00
Aaron Wolfe
We believe what we believe because we believe it's the right thing to do. We practice it at our house. So the same irrigation system that I install at everybody else's house is the same one I have here.
00:09
Jack Jostes
A lot of the things that we do for our clients, we know works because we've done it.
00:16
Aaron Wolfe
When you have 10 clients on the street and one of them calls you send somebody out to look at it. Now you've got a set of really quality eyeballs on nine other houses on the way. Simple. Done well is more.
00:28
Jack Jostes
Yeah, I love it.
00:29
Aaron Wolfe
And a lot of times, people don't do that.
00:31
Jack Jostes
Hey, everyone. Welcome back to the landscapers guide. Today I'm at Aaron Wolf's house. Aaron Wolf runs Wickenburg Landscape. We're in Wickenburg, Arizona, and as I learned, the way they describe it's one of the bathroom stops on the way from Phoenix to Las Vegas. Yep.
00:50
Aaron Wolfe
First bathroom stop.
00:52
Jack Jostes
And so it's pretty cool. I'm out here for a digital agency conference and then got to come and shoot video with you today. So thanks so much for having me. Right now we're at your home.
01:02
Aaron Wolfe
Yes.
01:02
Jack Jostes
And your outdoor living space. It's a little dark right now, but we're standing in it. It's so cool. It was just finished, like, a couple of weeks ago. A couple of days ago, we changed it.
01:14 – Updating Outdoor Living Spaces Over Time
01:14
Aaron Wolfe
We've. We've. We had it all here, but we had to change it because it eight years ago is when we built it. We didn't know what we know today. Yeah, just like, you know, in marketing, things change all the time, so it's hard to have customers over that. And you have something that you don't install at their house. So we had to update it and modernize it and. And put in. We had everything else that we do, but the countertops were all wrong. Technology's come along pretty good, so we changed that out so well.
01:41
Jack Jostes
So for folks who haven't met you, tell us a little bit about yourself and Wickenberg Landscape.
01:46
Aaron Wolfe
So our landscape company just turned 45 years old two weeks ago. So that was. That was a good time. My dad and my dad. Mom started it, so I've worked now full time in it almost 36 years. And all three of our kids work in the company, so that's. That's a lot of fun, but it's just a passion of mine. I just really enjoy landscaping, and it's something I wake up to do. I mean, I have to kind of rein myself in, because if it Was up to me, I'd probably work 90 to 100 hours a week. I just really enjoy the different stuff I have and the people I work with.
02:19
Jack Jostes
Yeah. And I can tell. I mean we. I got to interview four of your employees today. I interviewed your parents and three of your kids. And you really just have a special business. It's cool.
02:29
Aaron Wolfe
We have I think 36 employees, we call them team members. We have HDB visa workers that come back every year from Mexico place down in Mexico. And we also have three team members in the Philippines that actually work with us remotely.
02:29 – Building A Team With Remote Employees
02:44
Jack Jostes
Well, and that's an interesting thing. I mean I work with a lot of companies that have full time employees. They have some have H2B. I don't know many that have employees in the Philippines though that are landscape companies. So tell us about. I wanted to actually start there because you're in our mastermind at Ramblin Jackson. I already know this about you. But for folks listening, what does a landscape company use and what do you hire employees from the Philippines to do for your landscape company?
03:13
Aaron Wolfe
So the first thing that we did is we hired a executive assistant for me to take a lot of the workload off of what I do. Just basically just stuff I don't want to do. And they really like that. I think you have an executive assistant too, that really helps. And she does amazing stuff. So we started with that. And then also our bookkeeper is. Our general manager's wife was doing our bookkeeping and they just had their second kid, their second child. So she wanted to kind of retire out of doing that and be a stay at home mom. So we knew that was coming. So we had about six months to prepare. So instead of trying to find somebody locally that actually knew what were doing, we found through our coaching that there's this stuff available and extremely talented people in the Philippines.
04:02
Aaron Wolfe
So we now have a bookkeeper remote in the Philippines. We have my executive assistant in the Philippines. And two weeks ago we just hired a estimator and also an assistant for our. Not our general manager, operations manager. So I feel like anything that is done in the office can probably be done by someone remote for a fraction of the cost and generally a lot better than we can that we can find. Especially in a small town. We're not in a big city, so there's not a lot of pool to get good quality.
04:34 – Growing In A Small Town Market
04:34
Jack Jostes
So tell us a little bit about Wickenburg landscape. So where are we and how many people live here?
04:40
Aaron Wolfe
About 11 to 12,000 people live in Wickenburg, so we're the team roping capital of the world, you know, so it's just a really cool place to come and it's a destination. A lot of people come here and it's just a lot of fun.
04:53
Jack Jostes
And so you grew up here? We're in, we're on your. We're on your patio. And across the driveway is the home where you grew up that your parents live in.
05:03
Aaron Wolfe
Correct.
05:03
Jack Jostes
And so they. I haven't seen the old behind the scenes footage of the various offices and where it was. But you grew up in the business, you're the second generation owner.
05:14
Aaron Wolfe
Yep.
05:15
Jack Jostes
What are some of the things that you've kept the same about the way you were raised in the business and what are some of the things that you've changed? I'm guessing you didn't have a virtual assistant in the Philippines, but back in.
05:26 – Learning Every Part Of The Landscape Business
05:26
Aaron Wolfe
The 80s I didn't have an assistant at all until six months ago. I did had to do it all myself. So I think one of the biggest things that remained, it started almost within the first six months is just understanding how my dad took me into the company, basically just told me to, if I wanted to work in a company, show up for two years and that was it. I didn't get to say anything, didn't get to do anything. And after two years he knew I was kind of serious. And then I started to learn maintenance. So I learned the maintenance side of the company for about six or seven years. And then he took me out of maintenance and I learned the install side of the company.
06:02
Aaron Wolfe
And then that's when I started becoming a certified instructor and traveling around the country teaching concrete pavers. And then after that I started running the whole company. And then I think it's been about 11 years ago my parents retired out of the company and all three of our kids now work in the company. But we really wanted a culture that attracted people. I don't, I don't want to go find people to work for me. I want to create an environment that is so good that everybody around here, we usually have anywhere from 20 to 50 people that are, you know, in our database of people that want to work for us. So when we have a position that opens up, it's real easy to do that.
06:43
06:43 – Growing In A Small Town Market
06:43
Jack Jostes
Well, I'm not surprised by that. And today we've got some mods and things we had flies earlier. We've been dealing with things. But one of the things that you've done that creates that backlog. If you Will or that bench of people who want to work here is you have a very limited service area. So I think a lot of landscape companies try to grow by expand and that it does make sense in a lot of places to expand into different service areas or different services. But we just recorded a video and you're like, hey look, we may not be a fit for everyone. We only work within a 15 minute radi of our office. So tell us about has that always.
07:28
Aaron Wolfe
Been the case or no, actually one of my business mentors, it's been about five, six years ago, he told me your consultation for the year is. How did he put it? Proximity of service, come back and talk to me next month. So I was like, okay. So we had to think about what that meant. At the time were doing federal projects all over the state. We did county projects around the county. We did, you know, commercial projects. We were taking care of two buildings downtown Phoenix. We were doing commercial projects anywhere three or four or five hours away. We would do projects up in Prescott every year. Great project. We were all making money. And if you looked at every project, we made money on them, really made good money.
08:14
Aaron Wolfe
But we couldn't grow because whenever there was a problem, we would have to send one of our top people to go address the problem, right? And now they're out of town. So we talked to him back and forth over the next month and basically we found out what he was talking about is when you have 10 clients on the street and one of them calls you send somebody out to look at it. Now you've got a set of really quality eyeballs on nine other houses on the way. So you're looking at their house and you're. So the quality of service naturally goes up and then pretty soon you find when you're in the neighborhood, it's nothing to stop it. Five or six more houses in 10 minutes and just kind of walk through the yard and put eyes on the property.
08:54
Aaron Wolfe
If I'm out flying my drone for one yard, I'll just fly my drone, you know, back and forth over 10 yards. And so you get a lot more quality control when you have your top people constantly looking at a lot of stuff. So it also saves a lot of time. And so were able to basically triple the company with actually reducing our service to getting smaller radius. But yeah, so it's worked out really well for us.
09:23
Jack Jostes
And how long did you say that was? Six years ago?
09:25
Aaron Wolfe
About six years ago. And then it took us probably two years to wean out our. So we stopped doing government jobs, we stopped doing county jobs, we stopped doing commercial jobs all over the state. And then in 21 we decided to cut it back to we don't work more than 15 minutes from our office.
09:44
Jack Jostes
So are government projects on the no list?
09:46
Aaron Wolfe
Pretty much, yeah.
09:47
Jack Jostes
I arrived at having a hel. Yes. Customer of landscape companies in part by having a no list. And the no list included government photographers, real estate agents. I had a, I had a running. I'm like, I don't like working with these. These are not good fits. These are. And then I'm like, well, what do I really want? And it took a while. I've been doing ram. I've been running ramblin Jackson for 17 years and I guess 9 of it has been landscape focused. Yeah. But the first eight was everything and it was very chaotic. So it's just interesting that, you know, I think it takes time and for folks listening, you're the second generation owner and you whittled back what the company was originally and it's doing really well.
10:37
Jack Jostes
It's more profitable, it's more enjoyable and you have a, literally a wait list of employees. Why did we do video today? What did we do today?
10:37 – Behind The Scenes Of A Landscape Video Shoot
10:46
Aaron Wolfe
So we did several things. So we recorded testimonials for us for recruiting new hires. A recent hire that was only been here for a couple months, all the way up to our general manager who's been working for us I think for 15 years. So then we also did some social media clips and we've been working on that, you know, with, I think it was Rebecca in the office. So, so going back and forth and working on what we wanted to say and different social media clips to do. So that was a lot of fun.
11:15
Jack Jostes
It was fun. And one of the cool things was experiencing your landscape. I got here at like 1:30 and it was so bright. And so one of the things that we did was we set up the cameras in the shade partly because it was just uncomfortable to be in the sun. And we brought lights in and I thought we got some really nice looking shots. And then were using the lights now and we're in your outdoor kitchen and we got some teleprompter videos done. So that was really fun.
11:45
Aaron Wolfe
But it was a lot and it was neat to see. It's something we've been working on now for what, two months? Two and a half months. So these things, people just think that these videos just happen. And I used to think that and I remember the first year were working with you, were like, I don't know if that's really worth that, you know? And then we got growing and we started learning some other stuff, and we're like, wow, we really need these. And this time I was really blown away with the amount of work your team puts in ahead of time and, you know, working the scripts and going back and forth and you guys learning what was really important for us.
12:20
Aaron Wolfe
We never worked with a marketing company, and before you guys, our marketing budget was zero because we had never spent any marketing money ever in the history of our company. So it took us a year. I basically followed your podcast and I got on how I even got on it, but I was following you and I was like, wow, here's a guy that gets my industry. Not just a. Because, I mean, we had a website, I guess we had some marketing. We had a website that we paid a hundred dollars a month. And I thought I was a problem because they asked me, it's time to renew your website. And they're asking me for the how to lay it out. They're asking me to write the copy. They're trying to do all of this. And I'm like, I don't think that's my job.
13:04
Aaron Wolfe
I think that's your job. And so I went and started looking for landscape specific people. And the neat thing is all your guys speak my language. So that. That was really a lot of fun.
13:16
Jack Jostes
Well, thanks. Yeah, thanks for checking out the podcast and working with us. It's been a really great experience. And one of the things we. You know, I did a podcast with you and you told me about your salt collection.
13:29
Aaron Wolfe
Yes.
13:29
Jack Jostes
So. So you're. You're an avid chef and you have. I didn't even know there were over 80 types of salt. We had salt today that I used like a cheese grater to, and it was from Indonesia. The salt was like.
13:45
Aaron Wolfe
It was in a clay jar that. The top of the clay. So it was a. It was a clay bowl and it was filled up and it was all salt. And then you knock off the clay pot and you literally grate the salt into a salt grater and then you just sprinkle it on your food.
13:58
Jack Jostes
Well, so. So when I heard about this, I was like, I hope I get to eat some of Aaron's cooking sometime. And so I did today. So thank you. Yeah, we had prime rib roast.
14:07
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah.
14:07
Jack Jostes
On the smoker. It was exquisite. And then creme brulee.
14:12
Aaron Wolfe
Oh, yes, my wife's creme brulee.
14:13
14:13
14:13
Jack Jostes
It was. That was incredible. And tell us a little bit. How has your passion for cooking become part of what you do with landscaping? So when. When you finish an outdoor kitchen, tell us a little bit about what you do.
14:27 – Creating Outdoor Kitchen Experiences For Clients
14:27
Aaron Wolfe
And so my wife, she's been a baker, she has a baking company, and she does a lot of our. She's been a lot of our customers, caterer and baker, for more than 20 years. And actually, she does a lot of it with Spencer, our general manager's mom. They're. They're both business partners and been best friends for probably 20, 25 years. So it's really kind of small knit community there. But we just wanted to try to find a way that we could pair some of our passions. And then also we noticed that a lot of people don't know how to use their outdoor space. And I would come up to these houses and I would go, holy moly, that kitchen is all wrong. No wonder they don't use it. They're never going to use it. The sink is in the wrong spot.
15:12
Aaron Wolfe
The grill's in the wrong spot. There's no griddle. Where's the pizza oven? There's no place to serve food. There's no place. And so these are things that we understand, you know, being. I wouldn't call us chefs, but, you know, wannabe chefs as we learn how to do that. So we started saying this would be great. Why don't we start doing that? So we had our old kitchen here, and our parties have now grown. So we have small parties for 15, 16 people at a time for Landscape chef every month. But then we have our big parties for 50, 60, 70 people, customer appreciation dinners. We hold them here.
15:46
Aaron Wolfe
But what we decided is, like, three or four years ago, everybody that does an outdoor kitchen with us, what we do is my wife and I will go over sometimes with one of our kids, and we will do them a special dinner. Sometimes it's teaching them how to use their pizza oven and showing them how to make the crust and how to get the crust on the peel and, you know, just kind of how to do that. And then. Or we'll do a filet with BlackBerry sauce and show people how to marry different flavors together instead of just having a steak. And, you know, obviously it'll always finish off with creme brulee. So that's one of our signature things. But she makes all kinds of stuff too, so. But it's just a kind of a fun way.
16:25
Aaron Wolfe
We get a lot of customers that say, hey, they come to one of our events. And they're like, wow, I never knew you could do that on a griddle. I got to put a griddle in at my house. Or, you know, we'll have new people that aren't even our customers, and they're thinking about different stuff and they'll say, hey, I heard you have these free dinners and could we come over and one of your dinners and learn how to use a pizza oven? So pizza ovens are more than just pizza. You can, you know, bake things in there. You can cook chicken wings in there. You can cook a steak in there. So when they learn all these different things, I feel it's just. And then we're doing it over dinner. So it's just super cool.
16:59
Jack Jostes
Yeah, I like that. So it's a very relational approach, both on the front end. You're using it, you're having these events. It gives people something to do. It gives them a reason to invite people. That isn't weird. Yeah. Like, right. It's like, hey, let's. We're going to Aaron's house and we're going to have a feast, and they make creme brulee.
17:16
Aaron Wolfe
And were going to do it at our office, and we said, that's so impersonal. And, you know, inviting people to our office just didn't seem like the right thing. And so, you know, as we said, hey, we really love doing it. Why don't you come over to our house? And inviting someone to our house just seems natural, and it's who we are.
17:31
Jack Jostes
Yeah. Well, it was great experiencing the food and enjoying it today. Tell me about grubs. Yeah, you know, you mentioned grubs. We just did, I guess, 14 videos or something total, maybe, but grubs were mentioned in at least three of them. What's the deal with grubs in Wickenburg?
17:31 – Why Grub Control Matters In Arizona
17:47
Aaron Wolfe
So grubs are these little bugs that are in the ground and they tend to eat the roots, and they'll eat up into cactus. They'll eat the roots of plants. And it's gotten to the point to where no one really takes care of them. And if we get a wet spring and. And get a little bit of moisture into the early summer, grubs can really decimate a yard. So, I mean, we've seen sometimes 20, $30,000 worth of damage in a yard, and by the time we see it, about 90% of it's probably already gone. So we just started getting into. It's not optional, really. I mean, if you want to, we will let you option out, but it is A dedicated email. It says you understand the risks and you're not doing grub control. And then we will take it out. But it's not expensive.
18:34
Aaron Wolfe
It gets done three times a year. And since we've done it, we've almost lost nothing. So it's not worth it.
18:39
Jack Jostes
That's amazing. Well, so what I liked about your videos is they're very assertive. Yeah. In a friendly way. But it's kind of like, hey, we're not a fit for everyone.
18:48
Aaron Wolfe
Exactly.
18:49
Jack Jostes
And one of the people that we're not a fit for or is people who don't want to really have landscape maintenance, including grub control, including irrigation management. And you list out the things that you need to do to be successful that most maintenance companies don't do.
19:06
Aaron Wolfe
It's really important we believe what we believe because we believe it's the right thing to do. We practice it at our house. So the same irrigation system that I install at everybody else's house is the same one I have here. Yeah, that's why we finished and updated this. Everything that we do is the same. And so one of our guys was able just to purchase a house. And today were talking about, he's getting all the same valves and all the same clocks and all the same irrigation line. Everything that we do. He understands so much that he's putting that in at his house. It's not like something that's only good for them.
19:42
Jack Jostes
Right.
19:43
Aaron Wolfe
But not for me, you know, I can't afford it or different stuff. No, it's the right thing to do. And we're confident about that. We've been doing it long enough. We know.
19:51
Jack Jostes
Well, I sell the same way. Like everything that, I mean now what you do is different from what I do. But like we have online scheduling on our website. We schedule a 15 minute call. A lot of the things that we do for our clients we know works because we've done it or email marketing or these video shoots. I do it because it works. I do love doing it. But.
20:16
Aaron Wolfe
Well, one of the things, I think I mentioned this last time, but I think working with you guys is so much fun because we learn different ways of actually doing business. So you've taught us how to better at customer service. You've taught us how to be, you know, like the different things of. You miss a meeting, we get beef jerky and, you know, it's kind of a joke going back and forth, you know, we, you know, with our customers. We started doing that as a chocolate chip cookie promise. And if we miss Meetings or we miss something, a deadline, we send them off chocolate chip cookies. And it's just kind of a fun, you know, way because no one does it.
20:16 – Small Customer Service Details That Matter
20:49
Jack Jostes
And. Well, it's also. It's a. It's a. I started talking about the small things that are big things. Yeah, the small things of like showing up on time to an appointment with a client.
20:58
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah.
20:59
Jack Jostes
It's a big thing because they might invest 100 grand, 200 grand, and tens of thousands more in maintenance. And if you're on time, it sets up a good relationship. But if you don't, puts a sour taste in the client's mouth.
21:14
Aaron Wolfe
Simple. Done well is more.
21:15
Jack Jostes
Yeah. And I love it.
21:16
Aaron Wolfe
I think a lot of times people don't do that well.
21:18
Jack Jostes
And then you can also make it fun. Like, we have our beef jerky club, but we're also really serious about showing up on time, and our clients know that it's fun. And also, if I have somebody working for me who's sending out too much beef jerky. Right.
21:30
Aaron Wolfe
We're having a.
21:34
Jack Jostes
So one of the fun things we figured out today, I wanted to give a shout out to Jason.
21:38
Aaron Wolfe
Absolutely.
21:39
Jack Jostes
Jason Card is your landscape marketing guide. Tell us a little bit about. He helped you. He helped you with something pretty cool today.
21:45
Aaron Wolfe
Yes.
21:46
Jack Jostes
So kind of geeky, but cool. Yeah.
21:48
Aaron Wolfe
So somehow we. We don't know. Years ago, went and got all these social medias. So we didn't. We weren't doing social media, so we got all these ones. And back in the day, you had to have a Gmail for all these different ones. And we got YouTube. And it was like in 2017 or 2018, we don't remember what Gmail we put it on. So we literally spent six to eight months messing around with trying to find out which email it was. And I mean, were back and forth between almost 60 emails trying to figure out everything. Never could get it. We talked to Jason. He said, hey, one of my favorite sayings, it's not what you know, it's who you know. And Jason said, I've got a guy. And so I think it's actually a lady, but I know someone at Google.
22:31
Aaron Wolfe
And so he made some inquiries and in my email this morning showed up a special link to click that if you were pre Google YouTube, if you had signed up pre Google YouTube, I don't know what that even means, but I clicked on the link and it come up on my wife's email and I said, that's not right. And so I went to click out of it. And it lasts me to sign in. And Wickenburg landscape. And I already had one of the emails on my computer. I have no idea how it got in there, but in less than an hour from Jason sending me an email, we got our YouTube page back and we now own it in house.
23:06
Jack Jostes
Well, well, that's so cool. I'm glad that.
23:08
Aaron Wolfe
And he's himself a really nice rib roast and a nice package.
23:12
Jack Jostes
That's so generous of you to send him that. I appreciate that. Yeah, yeah. You guys are doing a lot of things. Well, I'm thinking of, you know, we've worked together on your sales process.
23:20
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah, Robert's awesome.
23:20 – Charging For Consultations And Protecting Your Time
23:22
Jack Jostes
You've worked with Robert. You've become extremely punctual. So you're kind of doing all the things that if I could get my clients to show up on time, brand their sales process, have a 15 minute phone call before you go and do a bunch of legwork for people. And then reviews. When we met, I think you had three reviews. And I remember joking with you, do you only have three happy customers in your 45 year history? And you're like, oh, it'll work. But you did it. Now you've got reviews.
23:49
Aaron Wolfe
I think we're at 37 reviews at 4.9.
23:52
Jack Jostes
And that's a lot in this town.
23:53
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah, right? Yeah.
23:54
Jack Jostes
And you're also doing a social media video, a Facebook live. You're just, you're on track. You're getting good results from a lot of big decisions that you've made. Like discontinuing all that government stuff is a big kind of scary decision to make, right?
24:11
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah. Because these are big jobs you're walking away from. And so it's just really cool to see, you know, working with your team. I think one of the biggest things, and I don't think we really talked about it much was when we first started, you were like, are you charging people to come out and look at their yard and design their yard? And you can't do that. You gotta always go out and do free estimates and stuff. And so I think it's been almost a year and a half now. We started basically, I think we've only not gone out to three or four houses, so everybody understands we do it in a nice way.
24:45
Aaron Wolfe
You know, we're not going to charge them a full rate, but might be a hundred dollars, might be 150, might be $200, but we're going to charge you because we believe our time is worth it. And everybody, almost everybody, I mean, we're probably talking maybe 80, you know, and then maybe three didn't do it. And. But those three, I wouldn't want to be my customer. Because if you're not going to pay me for my time on the front end.
25:08
Jack Jostes
Right.
25:08
Aaron Wolfe
Why do I want to fight you over collecting money down the road? But we started doing that and it's just worked absolutely phenomenal that getting eaten.
25:17
Jack Jostes
Up by the bugs. You got some bugs. It's cool.
25:19
Aaron Wolfe
So. But it's just been phenomenal that we've just made that part of our process now to where we don't go out and talk to you. I mean, if. And people say, well, I need to learn about my yard. Great. That's consulting. It's 150 bucks an hour. And.
25:33
Jack Jostes
Yeah.
25:33
Aaron Wolfe
And I'll do it.
25:35
Jack Jostes
And also you can say, great. You know, we have a free YouTube channel.
25:40
Aaron Wolfe
Yep.
25:40
Jack Jostes
We have a.
25:41
Aaron Wolfe
We do now.
25:42
Jack Jostes
We have. Right. You now. We now have a. But you've got all this other stuff that you're putting out there for free that you can reference to people.
25:48
Aaron Wolfe
We've got so much information. It's all specific and we don't really sell on our social media. It's just educational. Yeah, that's been a really big hit and a lot of people really enjoy it. So I think we got almost 100 videos. We're doing one every day. We're doing a Facebook Live every week. And consistency is starting to really pay off to where we've actually had talks at our mastermind about, I don't want to stop doing what I'm doing. Yeah, but how do I control it? Because it is really just blowing up so well.
26:17 – Using Educational Social Media To Build Trust
26:17
Jack Jostes
Social media, I feel like, has become even more important in the last two years, in part just because of its influence on AI and search. And meta is AI. Like, people use meta AI and you're in there and people are finding it and you're helping them. You're helping. You're teaching them things that they're like, oh, you know my other landscaper who maybe comes once a month.
26:44
Aaron Wolfe
Yeah.
26:44
Jack Jostes
Maybe never talked to me about this.
26:47
Aaron Wolfe
Well, we had so a couple quick stories. My son, he was at the store probably two weeks ago and ran into somebody, he says, and he's wearing an orange shirt. I know you. And he goes, yeah, he knew that he was my son. He goes, I watch your dad every morning with my breakfast and see if I learn something about my landscaping. So, I mean, he's getting used to it where it's just everything. But I think it's Just important to, to be real with people and we don't have to sit there and just goof off all the time. But it's. People really want to learn about their yard. It's. We feel we're asset managers.
27:21
Aaron Wolfe
And really the landscaping in a yard is maybe only 3 to 10% of the cost of the house, but makes 30 to 50% of the cost or the, you know, the value of what house sells. We have customers in communities and houses are selling like this and other houses sit on the market for hundreds of days.
27:41
Jack Jostes
Right.
27:42
Aaron Wolfe
Go look at the landscaping. And now you know why. So it's pretty amazing.
27:47
Jack Jostes
So for folks who want to network with you, where can they connect?
27:51
Aaron Wolfe
Probably the easiest way to do is just to reach out on our website or any through our social media. Wickenburg Landscape.
27:57
Jack Jostes
Cool. Well, I'll put links to that in the show notes. And what are we eating next time?
28:03
Aaron Wolfe
Hey, you pick it. I think we're gonna do Tomahawk ribeyes is what we're gonna do. Okay.
28:07
Jack Jostes
Yeah, I've never actually bought one of those, but I went to. It was, it was a few years ago. I brought some employees.
28:13
Aaron Wolfe
Now I know what you're getting to the. I'm going to send you.
28:15
Jack Jostes
All right, let's do it. Okay.
28:17
Aaron Wolfe
So the fun thing is that I told Jason, I said, you do enough stuff in Phoenix. We're going to get you down here next year and do something else. So, yeah, so we'll have it. I'm going to send you some tomahawk ribeyes.
28:29
Jack Jostes
Cool.
28:30
Aaron Wolfe
So, yeah, that'd be.
28:30
Jack Jostes
All right. Well, Aaron Wolfe from Wickenberg Landscape. Thank you.
28:33
Aaron Wolfe
Thank you.
